Role of the care worker/support worker:
- To assist individuals with all aspects of their daily living including eating, drinking, personal care and upkeep of their home environment
- Assist individuals to access community activities, where applicable.
- To assist individuals to attend appointments, social groups and leisure activities where applicable.
- To work as part of a team to meet individual care needs, working within care plans and risk assessments that have been developed.
- To administer prescribed medications in line with policies and procedures of the hirer and customers care plan.To undertake housekeeping duties in line with the Hirers and Individual need.
- To work in line with the hirers policies and procedures at all times and report back any concerns to the manager within the placement.
- To complete comprehensive notes in relation to a customer’s support, in line with the hirer’s requirements and Individual’s needs.
Community support worker
Essential Criteria: Qualified to Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or 12 months + experience working in a Health and Social care setting.
Hours of duty: Flexible/Casual
Pay: Level 2 qualified – £12.00 per hour plus holiday pay / Level 3 qualified – £13.00 per hour plus holiday pay.
Purpose and objectives of the job:
1. To assist in the provision of a full and comprehensive domiciliary service adults and children with disabilities and/or complex health needs. In accordance with the organisations assessment of need, giving the appropriate level of support to customers and their carers at all times, in line with the department procedures and policy statements.
2. You will be expected to work towards identifying or creating access to community facilities and social networks. Leading to customers becoming less dependent on ‘service support’ systems and developing in their place a ‘self-support’ network of friends and associates within the person’s neighbourhood.
3. To assist in the provision of appropriate levels of physical care and health care promoting dignity and independence and providing excellence in the care you deliver.
Agency staff working under KV Recruitment will be required to be registered as Self employed and undertaking self assessment. KV Recruitment are not an employer, we are an agency therefor PAYE responsibilities fall with the appointed agency worker (you).
